Recap of Kinky Kollege + Salem Mass!

Kinky Kollege Spring Break 2025 was everything I wanted it to be and more! Here's a little recap of the event.

I flew into Chicago on Thursday, and met my sub and travel partner, m, late afternoon. The hotel was quiet, and there wasn't that many folks in yet. We started the weekend off right with a spanking to get our appetites whet for the upcoming festivities.

On Friday, I had a couple spankings planned for some lucky attendees. Registration went well, although I seemingly didn't know a soul. Fast forward to Friday evening, when we attended a packed Meet and Greet, followed by Opening Ceremonies (this is a common feature of Leather events). Once the rituals were done with, now my plotting mind could get to work. I had a lovely scene planned for the first night in the dungeon with a lovely rubber doll. M answered the call in the Tops seeking bottoms Fetlife thread where I posted that I was looking for a Dollification play partner (afterall, I was teaching Dollification on Sunday, so why not give the audience a preview on Friday night?). The scene was absolutely delightful, M was the perfect doll I got to fully dress up and play with, and we relished in the crowd that stopped to watch us.

Saturday saw the first two classes of the four I was set to do throughout the weekend. First, I taught my Female Led Domestic Discipline Relationships class to a packed house. Some great questions and participation by those representing all genders. Later that afternoon, I hosted my first ever roundtable discussion, on Domestic Style Discipline over lunch. There's definitely a learning curve on moderating discussions, and except for a heckler who disagreed with everything I said (and he did so in each of my classes), I had a great time down in the trenches with KK attendees.

Saturday night I got the chance to play with a very good and long standing friend of mine, HA, while she was dressed as Strawberry Shortcake and I was in the above Victorian dress. Visually, not the best combination, but heck the caning scene we did was incredible! The dungeon was even more packed on Saturday night, so finding a spot to swing was very challenging. We had a blast playing in front of another crowd.

Sunday morning I taught my Dollification class to a packed room. It was quite emotional at the end with numerous folks tearing up at my story of the Victorian Dollification scene that started everything back in 2010. Sunday afternoon, my last class, Spanking Soup to Nuts was also full of new and old friends who came to support me during the last time slot of the day.

Sunday night, and Monday morning was so quiet, you wouldn't have thought a huge BDSM conference had just filled the spaces. But it was some good recovery time for me before I had to get on that plane headed for home.

Thanks to everyone who attended one of my classes or discussions, it was such an honor to present at this bucket list convention.

Next up, I took a combination business and personal trip to the Boston area with my wife and our friend. I just got back a couple days ago so it's still fresh in my mind! I had a great time with some regulars in Boston for two days before heading out to Salem with the fam for some R and R. Our version of R and R though are tours through dark history. And this one didn't disappoint. We took a 2 hour walking tour of Salem and it's history during the Salem Witch Trials of the 1690's. The tales were chilling, and one wonders how this could have all happened? A perfect storm of events left the community vulnerable to rumor. Religious fanaticism, a departure from a more balanced court system, and intense fear combined to leave 19 people dead over the course of a 2 year period. So many lessons in this story to be heeded even now, and still history can repeat itself.

Of course, no trip to the Boston area would be complete without getting some Kelly's Clam Chowder. I think I OD'ed on that stuff, and will be good for another year until I can get back to the area. Thanks for all the great recommendations on things to do and see in that neck of the woods, gang!
